私も同様の現象ではまっています。私のORCAでのこれまでの
最大のハマリです。Woody-startでレスをいただけなかったので、
便乗します。下の方に、投稿した内容を再掲載します。

こんにちは、京都の長谷川です。
Woodyになってから、レセソフトからプリンアウトできない現象に
悩んでいます。ご指導いただければありがたいです。
・lpr、xfs-xtt、gs-ja 7.05を使用
・プリンター canon LASER SHOT B406E
・Mozilla、Diaからは、lpr -Plp1により日本語フォント、 画像とも
完全に印字可。文字の大きさも変わってギザギザ無しに印字される。
・レセソフトからの印字の試みにより/var/spool/lpd/lp1/.seq の値のみ
上がっていくが、スプールされない。
・potato版レセソフトでは、同一のprintcap、gsf、プリンターに
より印字可（gs 5.10を使用。/usr/local/bin/gsfのgs-jaは
gsに変更。）
・Woodyをインストールしたのは、XFree86-4.1のパソコンと、4.2の
パソコン２台ですが、印字できないのは同じ状態。
・その他のレセソフトの動作には、今のところ異常はない。
